Current Vacancy - Engineering Manager
Our Engineering Manager is retiring this year after nearly 30 years service with the company and we are seeking an exceptional individual to take on the leadership of our teams of applications and service engineers.
The brief is to ensure that:
- The sales team is provided with effective applications engineering support to enable sales opportunities to be successfully converted.
- All machine installations are efficiently completed to the customer’s total satisfaction within the minimum possible time.
- The company provides an effective training service to its customers so that they are able to obtain maximum benefit from their investment.
- The company is able to meet all its service and spares supply commitments in such a way that customer needs are met whilst maximising revenue earning opportunities.
- The Engineering department is capable of meeting forecast future needs.
We are looking for a pro-active team leader with a strong customer focus who is prepared to lead by example in professionalism, commitment, and attention to detail. We are introducing a new service management/sales contact management computer system and the department is entering a period of change. The new Engineering Manager must have the skills to drive through this change in a company culture geared to moving forward through consensus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential and we are looking for candidates with the right mix of engineering education and background, experience in an engineering technical support role, and relevant management experience.
